Who we are

What is collected, and why

• Calculator inputs and results. All calculations run in your browser. Your dimensions, options and results are not transmitted to us or stored by us.
• Your unit preference. If you switch between metric and imperial, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage (key eureka.unitSystem) so the calculator remembers it. It stays on your device; clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
• Copy results. When you press "Copy results", the summary is written to your device's clipboard. Nothing is sent anywhere.
• Hosting and security logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
• Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or local storage and reports aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, countries and page speed. We cannot identify individual visitors from it.
• Email. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.

Cookies and advertising

EurekaToolbox currently sets no cookies and shows no advertising. If we add advertising in future (for example Google AdSense), advertising partners may use cookies. Before that happens we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are set.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is processed by Cloudflare as our hosting provider, and may be disclosed if required by law.

Retention

Hosting logs and analytics are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention periods. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and keep a record of it; ask us and we will delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its use. Because we hold almost no personal data, in practice this concerns emails you have sent us. Contactcontact@eurekatoolbox.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical data may be processed outside your country.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
