These terms apply to your use of EurekaToolbox (eurekatoolbox.com), run by Hii Tuong Sing. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Results are estimates, not engineering advice
The calculators give preliminary estimates based on the inputs you enter and the formulas and assumptions shown on each page. They are not a substitute for code-compliant design, measurement on site, quantities from your supplier, or review by a qualified engineer. They do not check strength, durability, loading, safety or compliance with any building code or standard.
You are responsible for checking your inputs and the results, and for having them verified by a suitably qualified person, before you order materials, build anything, or rely on them for any decision that affects safety.
Accuracy
We work to keep the formulas correct and show them so you can check the working. Even so, the site may contain errors, and formulas, assumptions, default values and references to standards may change without notice. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
No warranty
The site and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hii Tuong Sing is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its results. This includes, for example, the cost of over- or under-ordered materials, construction defects, delays, and indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, or use automated tools in a way that degrades it for others.
Content and results
The site's design, text and code belong to Hii Tuong Sing. You are free to use the results you calculate, including in commercial work, subject to the points above about verification.
